Altra Sonic

The Wichita Altra Sonic is a potentiometer-regulated ultra-sonic based tension control system designed to maintain stable web tension during the steady running phase of paper, film and foil converting machines. Simple to set up and use, the Wichita Altra Sonic is an analogue device that enables users to save over 50% of the cost of buying and commissioning a more complex digital control system.

Setting up the controller is straightforward. The Altra Sonic receives its input from a scalable ultrasonic sensor. The sensor scaling is achieved with just a few button presses.
